1. The championship will consist of a of five events to choose from, with best 4 scores counting (allowing for 1 dropped round).
2. Events will be selected from the National Sprint Event calendar, the WMC championship is not attached to any other championship, this will not affect any other championship registrations you are registered for.
3. Entrants must be WMC members to score points in the championship.
4. The vehicle used must comply with class regulations in which it is entered.
5. Entrants license requirements must comply with the regulations of the event entered.
6. The Sprint event is just a means of getting a time, your class position on the day has no effect on the WMC Results. To keep things fair, an algorithm is used to handicap all entrants. This is based on power to weight which at present is worked out with a “best guess” for both.
a. Additional handicap factors include:
i. 4% for AWD
ii. 4% for Sequential / modern DSG style gearboxes
iii. 2% for List 1B tyres (scratch used for List 1A)
This Handicap system has worked in the 1st year and may evolve in the future.
Example: If you have a light weight, low power car, the handicap generally deducts time from your time on the day, and a heavy, high powered car will get time added. Results with 5 secs difference on the day shrink to tenths of a second once applied.
7. Championship points will be awarded as follows: –
